This, coming to a country near you...

Be warned, Ireland…

& Scotland, the UK, Mann, Jersey.

The “Sell”

Once you have been swayed by the stories of terminal people dying in “extreme suffering” — which is usually existential suffering & NOT physical pain [Oregon data] — then the next batch of bleeding hearts tout their pain; their suffering; their right to state-sanctioned death.

Look to the progression in Canada. Second in line is non-terminal suffering. Then mental illness and prior-consent by a directive for people who become incompetent. Then mature minors and children — though a minor is not allowed get a tattoo! (Excluding Scotland where 16 & 17 year olds are defined as adult even though the brain does not stop maturing till over 25 year of age.)

All that is left is suicide-on-demand — usually meaning euthanasia-on-demand.

The tragedy of Zoraya

On May 22#, 29 years old Zoraya Ter Beek, received state-sanctioned homicide in the Netherlands — she was killed by a doctor: euthanasia.

Zoraya was physically healthy. She is reported to have depression, autism and borderline personality disorder. She claims that her psychiatrist said that she could never get better.

Technically this was “voluntary euthanasia” — but was it?

Can an otherwise healthy 29-year old truly consent to death?

Your Decision

There really are only 2 choices.

Either suicide is an aberration and the state must do everything it can to prevent it from happening, or, suicide is a reasonable choice. There is no middle ground. There cannot be Suicide Prevention for one group, and death for another.

If a society goes with the second option it should not matter whether it is one person, ten, ten-thousand or one million people. Everyone can choose to die…

Morality aside: it is a bad, bad idea when the state kills its citizens. That is not a healthy society.

May Zoraya Rest In Peace.
